Bourbon: This Arabica variety, originally from Yemen, was cultivated by the French on the island of Bourbon (present-day Réunion) and from there exported to South America and Africa under the name Bourbon. The young Bourbon leaf has a reddish-brown color that later turns green. In the Bourbon variety, the leaves are processed unrolled. The infusion is characterized by a large, very voluminous reddish-brown leaf and a golden-orange infusion, and has a sweet, slightly fruity note compared to the Kent varieties.
